“ WEE ” GEOBGIE WOOD The coming attraction at His Majesty’s Theatre, opening on Monday evening lor a Reason of six nights and two run ti noos, is the seventh company of international vaudeville from J. 0. Williamson’s Sydney and Melbourne Theatres. All' the acta have originally been, selected by the representatives in London, New York, and on the Continent. Tho now combination is headed by “Wee” Georgio Wood, billed ns the “ Peter Pan ” of vaudeville, who is assisted in his sketches—‘ Black Hand George,’ 'Nobody Loves Mo,’ and ‘His First Love’ —by his own company, including Dolly Planner and Tom Blacklock. Georgio Wood comes with a reputation made in all tho leading theatrical centres of tho world. He is recognised in London as one of tho most popular comedians seen in pantomime for years. His return visits to Australia proved wonderfully successful. One Sydney critic says: “The Tivoli was packed for tho reappearance of Sydney’s favorite artist, Wee Gcorgic Wood. He hasn’t changed a hit, and his characterisations" of a small boy disappointed in love arc inimitable. Georgio took up practically tho second half of the programme, and if he had been willing the audience would have gone into tho night listening to him.” The company supporting the star includes tho “ Beau Bruinmel ” of vaudeville, Billy Maloney, in up-to-date songs and steps; a star from tho most exclusive corner of the theatrical world in Mario Lawton, with her piano ami harp; from the Moss-Stoll theatres the Addon Trio; an net of delight in Frank’s Canine Statuary: and a versatile violinist in day Whiddon, entertainer ami composer. who does everything original. Billed as the Russian Scot. Neil M‘Kay is claimed to be an artist of exceptional merit. He sings, dances, and pipes to produce, fun. Another big act with the company is Eddie Leslie and his Columbia Synropa.tors’ “Jazz Band ” from the Hotel Cecil, Loudon, The box plans for the Benson are open at The Bristol.
