(Received August 12, at 1.30 a.m.) There was a sensational sequel to the Hardelot disaster, when five of the eighteen children who were supposed to be drowned returned. When thirteen of the bodies were recovered tho search [for tho live other bodies continued all night long. The search party discovered four of the hoys, and later found the fifth, a boy named Marcel Appiucourt, thirteen years of age, who had coolly punched the heads of the rest in order to quieten them. _ All five were then panicstricken, and hid in the woods all night long.—A. and N.Z. Cable. [A bathing disaster of a most shocking character occurred at the seaside. Thirty-five small children, whoso parents worked in Roubaix factories, were enjoying a treat in charge of Father De Laporte. The father warned the children that the tide was rising, and some of them tried to take a short cut to the sand dunes, but they were caught hy the incoming tide, and fell into a deep hollow among the shifting sands.]
