Messrs Murray, Roberts, and C 0.,.: Lid., are to-day in receipt of a cable from their London agents, dated the ■ldl'd instant, reading as under:— “Sales dosed with a fair tone; Continental buyers are the principal buyers; Bfadford buyers are dome almost nothing. There was a good clearance. The market has been very irregular throughout, and faulty wools have been greatly neglected. Compared with the opening rates of the present London sales, 1 greasy merino, best description, par to 5 per cent, decline; greasy merino, other descriptions, declined 5 per cent.; pieces declines 7$ per cent.; scoured merino declined 5 per cent, to 10 per cent.; faulty and inferior descriptions show the greatest decline; cross-bred greasy, come-back and greasy line, declined 5 per cent; crossbred 'greasy, medium and coarse, best descriptions, advanced 5 per cent.; cross-bred greasy, coarse to medium, other descriptions, par to 5 per cent, advance; cross-bred slipe and crossbred scoured, market shows no material change.” LONDON MARKETS.
