! OTAGO CENTRE -MEETING. Tlie monthly meeting of tho Otago Centre of tho Now Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held last night, Mr E. L. Macassey presiding. COMMUNICATION FROM COUNCIL. In connection with the proposed visit from the Americans in 1925, the A.A, Union was to bo advised that invitations to 'tho Americans had not yet taken definite shape, and the council was not in a position to put anything concrete before tbe union. The'financial statement in connection with tbo Australian tour showed the expenses to bo £635, and tbe receipts £l7l—a loss of £l64.—Received. GENERAL,

Mr J. S. Betting, Wingatni, wrote granting permission to use portion of his land for association races.—Received.

In connection with the Port Chalmers road race, M. Harvey was awarded the novice prize. The following were appointed a subcommittee to control tho Otago crosscountry championship-Messrs Beatson, M'Kenaic, Gibson, Clark, M'Crone. and Lander.

The selectors for the Otago team appointed are: Messrs Beatson, Thompson, and M‘Kernaii. The matter of entertaining the visiting cross-country team for the New Zealand championship was left in the hands of Messrs MTndoe (convener), Breen, Beatson, Thompson, Clark, and Gibson. Mr H. W. Bibby wrote asking for a transfer from the •Anrrlican Harriers to the University Harrier Olub.—
