VICTORIAN TEAM'S TOUR PROFIT OF £450. At the quarterly meeting of the Now Zealand Cricket Council, Mr J. S. Barrett presiding, it was reported that the tour of the Victorian team would result in a small profit, and that there would bo a small refund to those associations which had given guarantees. Boughly, the profit was about £450. and £250 would be divided amongst the associations. Mr E. E. Bean, manager of the Victorians, conveyed his appreciation of the many kindnesses extended to the team by the council and by the citizens generally. The dominion, ho said, possessed many promising players, and the standard of the game was higher than was usually credited in Australia. The Chairman said that_ the arrangements for a tour of Australia next season by a dominion team were in the hands of aii agent in Sydney. There was a possibility o*f the Australian team to visit England travelling by way of New Zealand, and this would enable it to play four matches in the dominion.
