The Paris correspondent of tho Daily Express ’ reports that remarkable revelations concerning the Countess Helene Do Chateau Briand, a beautiful, wealthy Frenchwoman, have caused 1 a sensation in France. Tho countess states that she was seized in the street and carried on by order of her relatives to a private mental hospital at Malmaison, where ex-President Dcschancl sent her to the head of tho establishment, who refused to take the countess. The relatives then took her 10 another mental hospital. When she refused to enter, seven people hold her while a hypodermic needle was inserted, and she was drugged. Finally Iho countess escaped. Four well-known doctors assert that she is in perfect health. A sensational sequel in the law courts is expected.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
