MINISTERING CHILDREN'S LEAGUE

A meeting in connection with the Ministering Children’s League was held in the Otago Women’s Club on Monday afternoon. Present : —.Mrs Theomiu (in tho chair), Mrs Sargood, Mrs S. R. Ritchie, Misses Allan, Ramsay', and Miss Williams (hem. secretary and treasurer). The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The report stated that during the year ton children had been sent to the James Powell Rest Homo at Warrington for rest and change. The length of time given war, according to the necessity of tho case, ranging from one to five or six weeks. In every case the change had proved must beneficial. The committee desired to tender thanks to Mr F. G. Gumming for tho care and consideration ho had taken in selecting suitable cases ; also to Mrs M’Gill for the careful attention given to children under her charge. It was resolved that the secretary write to Mr Gumming tendering thanks for the work he is doing, and also to advise him to continue to expend money to the amount of £3O or more if necessary on behalf of the league. Tho secretary was also requested to write to Mm M‘Gill thanking her for her kindness to tho children. The following office-bearers were reelected President, Lady Ferguson; vicepresidents—Mesdames J. M. Ritchie, Themnin, Keith Ramsay, J. M. Callaway, Nishet, and Sargood; executive—Misses Allan and Ross; General Comraitto—-Mes-dames Fulton, G. R. Ritchie, W. Lsidlaw, Miss Ramsay; hon. secretary and treasurer, Miss Williams; trustee, Mr G. R. Ritchie.
