CORRESPONDENCE
REST ROOMS
TO TUB EDITOR. Sir.—l was glad to see the letter of “Mother of Four” in your issue of bth inst as 1 have been advocating the necessity of rest rooms for women and chiideen being established in Dunedin lor some time. It is all very well for big retail stores and, large retail companies to provide suitable conveniences on their nrernises at ordinary times when their establiehmenls are open for business, but it is when those places ami tea rooms are c'osetl on public holidays and Caturday afternoons and Sundays that the need for rest rooms for women and. children is felt. Therefore, in. my opinion, it is only the City Council which supply the need, Crs MacManns and Scott are to be congratulated on bringing the matter before the. council, and I they will not let it rest until eomethmg is done,—l am, etc...
