The odd consignments corning forward are more than sufficient to meet tho demand, and best lines are_ soiling round about £8 7s 6d. Inferior lines are difficult to sell. The North Island markets arc well supplied, and the .Blenheim markets have eased. The oat market is also quid, ve'v little business passing. The wheat market lias firmed, and there is a decided shortage of fowl wheat, and the market has finned up to 7s 9d bushel. Dunedin millers’ prices are as follows : Flour £ls 10s, bran £6. pollard £7, oatmeal £29. Old potatoes are coming on the market freely, and prices have, eased. Best lines are selling round about £6 10s a ton, and inferior lines arc difficult to quit at any price. Local new potatoes are corning forward more freely, and selling ron.id about lb. r ihc onion market is short supplied, and Canadians arc selling up to 47s per crate. Meibonrnes arc now offering, and a shipment is expected in somewhere about December 12, when prices will ease considerably. Business has been brisk in the fruit marts during the week. Large supplies of cherries and strawberries have come forward, and prices have been reasonable. Tomatoes arc also in better supply, and prices easing. Stunner apples arc now ofleriug frcelv, and best lines arc selling from 16s to 18s per ease.. Large quantities are coming forward from eon! stores, and these'have proved poor keeping quality. The market is fairly well supplied with A u.-tralia n oranges and Island bananas. There is a good demand for all clean lines of fruit and vegetables, and (be marts have been cleaved at satisfactory prices. Ih° egg market is keeping steady, and honev is offering freely round about sid per lb. Bacon and hams are inclined to firm in nrice. The cheese market is well supplied .and prices easy.
