A DRAMATIC FUNERAL, Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. ROME, September 16, Three hundred thousand Fascists, headed hy Signor Mussolini, followed the hearse at Deputy Casalini’s funeral. Great animation prevailed throughout the city, but there were no serious happenings, owing to severe measures by the authorities. The Fascists formed a hollow square at the burial of Signor Casalini. A tattoo of drums preluded the roll call. When Signor Casalini’s name was called; the assembled Fascists thundered “Present,” simultaneously shooting their arms skywards.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
[A workman named Corvi fatally shot Deputy Casalini, Undev-Secretary of tho Fascist Corporation. Corvi said he had killed Signor Casalinl in order to avenge the death, of Deputy Matteotti.]
