SECOND DAY.—WEDNESDAY.
Interesting work this morning was brought before the music judge, Mr E. Bennett North.
Twenty-five of the twenty-six couples entered for the piano duet 'Elves’ Caprice’ (eleven and under fourteen) came forward, the only withdrawals being Veronica and Rosa Tallis. Three wore selected for recall—namely G. Hannah and Minnie Robson, Beryl Cooper and G. Smith, M. Matheson and K, Wilkinson.
Th sacred baas solo, ‘ Sun of My Soul,’ was entered for by eight, but Messrs A,' P. M'Sldmming, G. Gibson,' and Peter Sutherland did not appear. The recalls are:—Messrs J. M'Naughton, James Ferguson, and F. B. Davy.
TO-NIGHT’S PROGRAMME. Another very interesting programme will be presented at His Majesty’s Theatre this evening, including piano duet (‘Elves Caprice’), recitation (‘ADoubtingHeaj»t'), bass solo (‘ Garden of Allah ’), ballet toe dancc>, vocal solo (operatic), ladies' own selection, Highland fling, Scottish recitation, sacred bass solo (‘Sun of My Soul’), Irish jig, song for ladies (own accompaniment), sailor's hornpipe. The box plan is open at The Bristol, and scats may be reserved for Saturday afternoon.
