The various stages fixed for the reestablishment of German economic sovereignty in tho Ruhr will be calculated from to-day, as a result of a meeting of the Reparations Commission officially registering the promulgation of the German Dawes laws.—Reuter. FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS. LONDON, September 1. The Government haa invited the Bank of England to handle the issue of a £40,000,000 German loan, which will be floated on October 15, probably at 8 per cent. America will bear 50 per cent, of the total, London 40 per cent., and the Continent 10 per cent. City circles are convinced that tho loan will bo a success at 8 per cent.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
BERLIN, September L The Minister of Finance (Dr Luther) states that Germany to-day paid the Reicbsbank on account of the AgentGeneral for Reparations 20,000,000 gold marks (£1,000,000), being the first instalment for service of the impending German international loan.—Reuter.
