(Received September 3, at 9.45 a.m.) The river Murray rose suddenly at Tocumwal and broke through tlm bank protecting the show ground, which is now covered. A hastily-thrown-up shank is preventing the water from reaching the houses in the vicinity. Men are patrolling the banks day and night in the hope of preventing further breaks.
