“ Sir, —With gladness I write yon this letter to duly render my gratitudiness, as my feelings cionsness bid and compel me to. Sir, — It took me three days thinking and trying to get some words differing from the ordinary words of tharkinfe, for your infinite loving deed, but I met vdth a failure. My parents, Lc-alui people, and ns well as those who came from different parts of Barotseland to join the banquet, marvelled most highly for what you did on Hie matrimonial ceremony of your auxiliary. They say Never had such a banquet been done hero in Barotseland matrimonial in state and quality. And I myself felt quite joyful, and sat triumphantly. The feast was great, and heard almost everywhere for your _ sake. . . , Your offers and love will in my heart endure. This is tho revolution of my internal feelings about my banquet.— Your Obedient Servant, Likukela.”
