Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, DELHI, Juno 25. It is reported that the entire crew of the Clan Macmillan has been picked up. —Reuter. ■ SHIP STRIKES AT NIGHT. ALL BOAT'S PICKED UP. DELHI, June 24. (Received June 25, at 11.39 a.m.) The Clan Macmillan grounded on a shoal off Preparis Island on Friday night Tho sea was rough and tho night was pitch black. The crew took to iho boats, standing by till the vessel sank at 9 o’clock tho following morning. The captain remained on the bridge till the last, the chief officer literally using force to drag him off. 'The captain’s boat drifted eastward and the other two northward in high seas and a strong wind. Two boats were picked up on Sunday night, and the captain’s later.
AH tho crew are well, but they suffered considerably from exposure. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
