Mr Peter Dow, who vra.s stationed at Haw-era as an officer of the Agricultural Denar!merit, died recently after an illness of len weeks. During his residence of six years in Ha worn Mr Dow was Government inspector of meat at the abattoirs. Born in Dunedin sixty-on* years ago, he was first of all connected with the Rt. George Preserving Works and other works. He joined the Agricultural Department as an inspector of meat, at Invercargill seventeen years ago. After serving three years ai Invercargill Mr Dow was inspector at Paten for eight years before going to Hawern. Air Dow was predeceased bv his wife fourteen years ago. and is survived by two sons and one daughter.
