MOTOR' PRIMER’S CLAIM.

Frederick Campbell Daniels and Harman Sled man claimed £7 and £8 Is od respectively from Horatio Murdoch Macl"iv Mr W G Hay appeared for the phiintiffs, and Mr W. L. Moore for tho defendant. , It was explained that duhng the railway strike period tho plaintiffs wore engaged bv the defendant (the proprietor of a motor sen-ire) to lake car loads of passengers to and from Cromwell. The arrangement was made bv the defendant s agent m Dunedin (T. 'Stedman). The plaintiffs claims were at the rale of 2s 6d per hour. For the defence it was stated that £4 10s was a fair weekly wage for such work. This had -been paid into court Evidence was given on behalf of both The'Magistrate said that it had not been shown that 2s 6'd per hour was not- a fair wa-m. The work was of a skilled) nature, and iiad to bo carried out at all hours. Judgment would be given for plaintiffs for the amounts claimed, with costs according to scale. JUDGMENT SUMMONS.
