Trapped in a building which was designed to prevent their escape, twentyt.hreo girls ranging from ten to sixteen years were killed when a fire destroyed a school for sub-normal girls outside Venice, California. All tho bodies were re-covered. Many wero not, seriously burned, but the victims had been smothered. Tho retared mentality of tho inmate's contributed to tho pandemonium.
