TIBER THREATENS ROME. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, December 8. The ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ' Rome correspondent says that old Father Tiber threatens Rome with another historic inundation. Tho depth of water is already nearly 40ft in many places. The river is almost at a level *with the embankment walls along a great part of its course through the city. The Tiber is level with tho streets at Pontemiivio, where the bridge itself is Hooded and the water is pouring over instead of under the arches. The floods threaten the greater part of Campagua, where largo areas and a number of establishments are 10ft to 20ft under w#er.
