A SAD FATALITY

ASHBURTON, July 23,
“ No accident for a long Lime past has merited such sincere sympathy tnrcugliout all parts of the county,” said the coroner respecting tho death of Henry Bennett Rountree, aged twenty-six years, on whom a tree fell at Timvald. Deceased s_ father was fastening back a branch pressing on deceased’s leg, when he out him severely with an axe, with the result that the loss of bicod contributed to the son s death. A verdict was returned accordingly.
