WEST HARBOR.
The picturesque hillsides in the West iarbor suburb presented an unusual spectacle. Every little babbling brook became a raging torrent, and in many cases the flood waters could not get away quickly enough to avoid damage. Between Eavensbourne and Burkes a rather serious slip occurred on the bank by the railway line, which held up the train service. just on the town side of tho Eavcnsbourne station the vagaries of a usually well-behaved creek were of rather a serious nature, as in its fresh course it chose to go in the back door and como out of the front door of a house. The damage done to the road and bank hers is fairly substantial. By the point which is being removed for the railway deviation works a slip has occurred on the hillsides. Altogether much repair work will bo necessary to put in order the West Harbor roads.
