WOOL SALES AND COMMISSION
COMPLAINT OF CHARGES. SALES TOO SPEEDY. At the meeting of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Union oxmitivi the matter of the brokers’ commission or wool sales was discussed. The President (Mr J. Livingston) said that ho considered the charges very excessive, an opinion which was endorsed by othei members. It was decided to forward r remit on the matter to the Dominim Executive. ' Reference was made to Hu report on the recent sale at Yanganni. whero some 3,000 bales were al legedlv disposed of in twenty or thirty minutes. It was considered absolutely ridiculous that sales should bo conductor on such lines, intending buyers being mi able to get in bids. The opinion was expressed that salesmen might be gettin' clever, but at the expense of the farmers. This matter will also be the subect of a remit to the Dominion Executive.
