A mooting of the Wellington Football Association was held to-night, when a letter was received from the Otago Association to the N.Z.P.A. expresing strong disapproval with the method adopted hi selecting the dominion team for Australia. The Otago Association considered that nominations should have been invited from the local association, as there were players worthy of consideration. The sole selector could not hope to discover them unless ho was in touch with local associations. The assistant sole selector should have been left to the incoming council, and discussed at the annual meeting of the N.Z.F.A. A playing member should have been appointed assistant manager, if one was required. The Wellington Association will support the protest on all grounds. The attitude of the Rugby Union towards school Soccer was also discussed and deferred.
