It is stated that a iiumbcr of foreign armorers and gunsmiths, taking advantage of the immunity of members of the military services from Customs dues on arms in their possession during demobilisation, took tho opportunity to send surplus stocks to Franco under the pretext that they wore the property of those immune from Customs dues, and disposed of them at great profit.
