In the House of Commons the Government was asked whether it was in possession of information that Mrs Marguerite Harrison, who was arrested by the Soviet as an American spy, bad secured her release by consenting to act as a. Soviet sqy, and in that capacity responsible for the imprisonment of .Mrs Stan. Harding, British journalist, and whether tho Government had sought redress from the American Government for the misdeeds of its agents. Mr Ronald M'Neill (Under Secretary for Foreign Affairs) replied that reports had reached the Government, but sufficient evidence was not forthcoming to -prove whether the story was accurate. — A. and N.Z.
