Wedsesdas - , November 29. (Before Mr J. K. Bartholomew, 8.M.) REMANDED TO INYERCARGILL, A. young man was charged on remaud with h&vingj at Invercargill# and while an officer of the Government, failed to account for £lO received m the course of his duties. Sir 0. J. L. White appeared for the accused. Chief-detective Bishop asked for a (remand to Invercargill, and accused was remanded to appear there on Modday afternoon next. Bail was allowed as before, and an order again made prohibiting the publication of accused s name. DRUNKENNESS. Archibald Nicol Gilchrist war. fined 10s, in default twenty-four hours’ imprisonment, on a charge of drunkenness.
