DUKE OF DEVONSHIRE’S ASSURANCE. Troa# Association—By Telegraph—C( pyright. LONDON, November 28. (Received November 29, at 9.60 a.m.) The Duke of Devonshire, in a letter to ‘ The Times/ replying to yesterday’s leading article, calls attention to the fact that special subcommittees have been appointed, consisting of representatives of the executive, members nominated by the High Commissioners, and one representing the Crown colonies, to deal with tho whole problem of Imperial supplies and materials. Ho also states that the commissioners are members of tho executive, and adds: “It is hard to imagine how any closer degree of co-operation is attainable, or what further steps the council can take to satisfy tho dominions that their interests arc fully protected.—A. and N.Z.
