CHORAL SOCIETY
Tho Dunedin Choral Society will give its next concert, the third of the 1922 season, in His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 7 and Friday, the 19th and 20th inst. The programme is again one which will appeal to the society’s many patrons. The two works are ‘ The Revenge ’ (Tennyson’s poem, set to music for chorus and orchestra by C. V. Stanford) and ‘ Loreley ’ (by Mendelssohn)., This latter is for soi?rano soloist, chorus, and orchestra. There is variety and contrast in both these works. In addition, the orchestra will give the ‘ Othello ’ overture by S. Coleridge-Taylor.
