Gerard Bovau was charged at the Guildhall Police Court, with publishing false balance-sheets of the City Equitable Company in 1919-21, with publishing a prospectus containing false statements, with the fraudulent conversion of money, and with obtaining money by false pretences by inducing people to take shares in the company.
