MODERATE LEAGUE
The Otago branch of the New Zealand Moderate League is taking active steps to extend its membership and influence At a meeting of the executive held yesterday a report was received from the organiser stating that a good response was being made by way of membership and subscriptions. It was decided to publish a manifesto setting forth the policy of the league, and this appears on page 3 of this issue- it was also decided to hold a series of public meetings at an early date for the purpose of placing the moderate viewpoint on the liquor question before the electors.
