AUCKLAND OBDURATE. ISSUE SETTLED ON CASTING VOTE. [Special to the ‘ Statx.’] AUCKLAND. August 16. The Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association at last night’s meeting decided to adhere to the plans and specifications dated April, 1922. The Otago Association’s challenge to rare with the present boats for the coming season was defeated on the casting*"*:ole of the chairman. No challenge was issued by Otago. The association merely suggested to Auckland that boats built' in accordance with the previous specifications should be allowed to compete in 1923, thereafter the onedesign class to be strictly adhered to. Last night's meeting at Auckland will probablv result in a conference being held at Wellington to consider the position.
