TRAMWAY EXTENSION.
TO THE EDITOK. Sir, —Having noticed some letters in your valuable paper referring to tramway extension at the north end of the city, one is rather surprised that _no one has written to advocate the claims of tho south end. An extension of the tramway service from tho Caversham terminus to the top of the hill at Lookout Point seems to the casual observer a very desirable thing. A numerous population already resident in the locality, besides workers and residents at Burnside and Concord, would doubtless appreciate the advantages of another penny section up the hill, ivhilst the fact that building operations are in evidence on the Main South road shows tho tendency of population in that direction. If the.tramways follow the people they will surely prove a paying proposition.—l am, etc., Hill-top. August 12.
