THE WOOL MARKET.
LONDON, July 31. (Received August 1, at 1.40 p.m.) At the wool sale there was excellent competition. There was a large attendance, buyers fearing that the present holdings would hot sulliee till next sales in September. Merinos wore distinctly harder than last week. Cross-brods were firm, with nn improved demand. Tho Glcnthorne clip realised 421 d and 39d. The Bradford market is firm, with a good tone, but business is quiet.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
