' AUSTRALIAN TEAM'S TOUR. Mr P. B. Foote presided over a meeting of the Otago Hockey Association held last night. A letter received from the New Zealand Hookey Association notified that the'itinerary of the visit of the Australian hockey team had hteu fixed as follows:—August 31, leave Sydney; September 6,, play Nelson at Nelson; September 9, play Wellington at Wellington; September 15, play Otago at Dunedin; September 16, play Canterbury at Christchurch; September 20, play New’ Zealand at Palmerston North ;, September 25, play Auckland at Auckland!; September 27, play Waikato at Hamilton ; September 29, leave Auckland for Sydney.—-It was decided to accept the date proposed for the Otago match. Further arrangements were referred to the sub-committee already set up. Th Secretary of tho South Canterbury Hopkey Association wrote asking for particulars of tho proposed South Island tournament to he held in Dunedin this year.—-It was decided to reply that in view of the Australian visit the association would be unable to hold the tournament. It was also resolved that the South ■Canterbury Association be asked to suggest a date for a match at Tamara with Otago. Mir I, B. Hubbard 1 , convener of the Schools Committee, wrote explaining that lie would bo ■unable to undertake the selection of the Hatch, Cup team, and asking for assistance, in securing referees for Saturday morning matches.—Referred to the Schools Committee. Tho Chairman reported that a visit to Dunedin of a Canterbury representative team, a secondary schools team, and a Hatch Cap team was expected on August 26.
