CONSTANTINOPLE, July 28, In consequence of persistent rumors of an intended Greek advance on Constantinople, General Harrington (the Allied commander) has issued a warning that any attempt to violate tiro neutrality of the occupied area will bo repressed by force. The ‘ Daily Express ’ declares that King Constantine has planned an adventure against Constantinople in order to save his .throne. The Greek troops are massing near the border. The Allies have made representations to Greece. Thirty British warships are reported to be assemplod in the Bosphorous.—A. and N.Z. Cable.

The extent of Greece’s military preparations is obscure, but the Note which was sent to the Allies expressed Greece’s, readiness to examine any peace piroposals, though she considers that peace will never bo realised until Turkey is made to feel the strength of Greece as a victor.
The French representative at Athens learns officially that Greece has no intention of .attempting a coup against Constantinople without the consent of the Allies—A. and N.Z. Cable.
