The Wellington Rugby team to tour Otago, Southland, and Canterbury will be selected from the following : —Backs— Brook, Tunnington, Siddells, Jackson, F. Tilyard, Malfroy, Wogan, Trapsld, Udy, Mahoney, Gibson; forwards—Standen, Scott, j. Shearer, Moffitt, Thomas, Duncan, Pringle, Troy, M’Pae, _E. King, Gair, Hopkins, Ryan, and Swain. THE FIRST TEST. "SYDNEY, July 31. (Received July 31, at 1.40 p.m.) The attendance at Saturday’s game, All Blacks v. New South Wales, was underestimated. There wore nearly 14,000 people present. SCHOOLS’ TRIAL MATCH. The following will take part in the schools’ truil match, at 2.45 p.m. on Wednesday, at Tahuna. Park : A Team.—Matthewson (Port Chalmers), Cooper, Harrhy (Port Chalmers), Canradus, Luskie, Bolton, Smith, MTlroy, Meikle, Timms, Rivett, Wilson, Sturgeon, Logan, and ricckton. B Team.—Young, Priest, Burton, Mattingly, Breen, Eamber, M'Robie, Scott, Perrin, Gibson, Emslie, Frood, Bambone, M'Arthur, and Pavis. The following are also requested to attend :—M'Arthur, Gotterfield, Price, Chapman, and Hodges.
