A gang of hoodlums at Auckland oa Saturday night interfered with a standing motor car in which was a lady. On. two male friends of the lady arriving on the scone a mcloo ensued, one of them being seriously assaulted with a bottle carried by ono of tbe roughs. A newspaper reporter who went to the assistance of the party was rendered almost unconscious by a heavy blow from another bottle.
