DUNEDIN CLUB. Mr 0. Fraser (president) was in the chair at last night’s annual meeting of the above, club. The attendance, as usual, was large—somewhere about seventy. When moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, the Chairman referred briefly to the doings of the club, mainly on the social side, during its jubilee season. The opening day had been a particularly successful function. Then a ladies’ social had been held, which proved most enjoyable. The club had done its best to entertain visitors during the association tournaments, with some success, ho trusted. The Elderly Bowlers’ Day had met with its usual success. The club had made special efforts to win the rinks event in January, but their selected rinks, skipped by Messrs- Harraway ami Bentley, had not survived to the finish. An unofficial rink,‘led by Mr J. Pie torsen, had lusted till very near the cud. Mr E. A. Rosevoar seconded the motion, briefly reviewing the balance-sheet, whim, ho stated, showed, the dub to be in a \vry sound financial position. Tho motion 'was carried without di. cession.

Office-bearers elected were: —President, Mr A. Steel; Vice-presidents, Messrs Jas. Rodger and A. J. Sullivan; directors,(hi place of those retiring)—Messrs H. W. Hilton, J. Pieterscu, J. G. Duthio, J. M'Crao; auditor, Mr Jas. Brown; delegates to centre—Messrs T. M. Stewart, G. Nelson, and A. J. Sullivan; green supervisor, Mr A. Steel; Tics Committee, Messrs J. G. Duthie and A. J. Sullivan.

It was unanimously decided that three selectors be appointed, and. of six nominations received Messrs D. Brown, F. J. Bishop, and T. Neill were appointed. Mr H. G. Williams was past services as director.

Mr C. Fraser, in-vacating the chair, Simpressed his warmest thanks for the support accorded him.—Mr Steel, on taking the chair,- expressed appreciation of the honor, and paid high compliments to the retiring president. Applause greeted- tl.u'o remarks, and “ For He’s a Jolly Good Follow ” was sung in Mr Steel’s honor. During an interval Mr Geo. Nelson, who has lately entered tho matrimonial state, was presented- with a dinner s-wvke. Mr C. Fraser said that Mr Nelson’s se’vices as a director, as chairman of the Social Committee, and in various other directions had been of great service to the club. Though a comparatively young member, he iiad shown great enthusiasm.—Mr Nelson. who was received with much applause, made a brief and apt response. The matter of grading was discussed at length, and eventually, on the motion of Mr A, J. y Sqllivan, seconded- by Mr J. G. 'Duthiej it was resolved that the club oppose tile adoption of any grading scheme for the incoming season. The argument was that the matter required further consideration. An amendment noved by Mr H. It was resolved to cater eighteen rinks for next season’s interclub matches. Motions in favor of a tournament at Easter time, a tournament at Christmas time, and no tournament at i!l were lefeated in turn.—Mr J,>.Johnsmi moved, and Mr Rodger seconded, that a tournament be held in January.
