OTAGO RUGBY REFEREES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I am a regular attendee at Cari;brook every Saturday to witness tho best of Dunedin football, and have been very disappointed with much of the refereeing. ■lt appears that the Appointment Board ■has: a, favorite two or throe who monopolise tho refereeing on Carisbrook. I would like to know why we cannot have a change ■of referees-notv and again? Such, men as Messrs Himburg. R. Torrance, Eckhold, Stevens, and J, Sutherland have done yeoman service to tho cause of Rugby, and aro recognised senior referees, and surely are entitled to a, game or two on Ho leading ground. I would suggest that one of these gentlemen be appointed for the final match. ■-I am, etc., Square Deal. July 25. :
