At the Competitions yesterday in, (ho dominion recitation for ladies (open class), Olivo Thomas (Dunedin), 80 points, wr. limt, and Doreen King (Christchurch). 7j , points, second, Jenny Griffiths (Dunedin), ■was among Tho unsuccessful competitors. In tho recitation for girls under twenty years, Jenny Griffiths (Dunedin) was third, three, points behind the winner. In the Sliakespearcan recitation (lady or gentleman under twenty-one years, own selection), Miss I. Atkin (’lnvercargill).’ _ 74 points, was first, and Miss Jenny Griffiths (Dunedin), 72 points, second. In the sacred .solo (contralto), Excelda, Duncan' (Dunedin) was among tho unsuccessful competitors. In the recitation ‘Not One To Spare,’ the recalls are Clarice Ritchie (Christchurch), Olivo 'Thomas (Dunedin), and Ivv Shearer (Dunedin).
