EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. The fortnightly meeting of the Executive Committee oi the Dunedin Ketnrneui Soldiers’ Association was held last evening, those present being:—Colonel T. Vv. At’Donald (president, in the chair). Iho Rev. Hector Maclean, Messrs D. Colquhoun, R. I’ldlarton, P. S. Hill, A. C. Lceden, J. M'Crao, J. H. M/Nu-h, A. •!. Foloy, I’. Anderson, A. MTlutchou, K. J. Anderson, and J. B. Callan. T’Jio President welcomed) the members who had recently boon elected to the executive and the old members who had been re-elected. He trusted the newly-con-stituted executive would l push forward the policy of the association with as much vigor as in the past. SUB-COMMITTEES APPOINTED, Sub-committees were appointed as follow; Finance.—President, Messrs M‘Crac, P. Anderson, and M’Hutchon (treasurer). Club House.—President, Messrs Fullerton, Hill, and. M’Nish (representing the executive), Messrs Bryant and Wood (representing association members), Messrs It. S. Black, J. 11. Walker, and j. Brown (honorary members). Social.—President, Messrs Foley, Anderson, Rev. Maclean, Hill, and! Callan. DISTRICT COUNCIL. The president amUMessrs Fullarton. and M'Crao were appointed to represent the executive on the Otago District Council. Colonel M'Donald was nominated as one of the representatives of the District Council on the Dominion Council. The district .secretary (IV. P. Hartstongo) notified that the annual meeting of the District Council would 1 be held in the R.S.A. Club, Dunedin, cm Friday, May 12. The nature of the business was the consideration of remits, election of the District Committee, and alteration to the rules. A sub-committee, comprising Messrs Callan, P. Anderson, and E. J. Anderson, was appointed to frame remits for the consideration of the District Council and the Dominion Council, and to report to a special .meeting of lire executive this evening. RELIEF OP UNEMPLOYMENT. The Secretary of the Expansion, League wrote inviting members of the executive to attend a meeting of the Railways Committee of the league to take part in a. discussion on the proposed deviation of the Duncdin-Ravcnsbournc lino for the purpose of relieving unemployment.—lt was decided that the members of a sub-committee who had previously had- this matter in hand should attend, also any other members of the executive who desired to attend. NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE, On the recommendation of the Nominations Committee four new members were elected. Six transfers out wore approved. LEAGUE OF NATIONS. A circular from the local branch of tiro League of Nations was referred to the Debating Society of the association. The executive, it was stated, had affirmed the principle of the objects of the longue. GENERAL. The president was authorised to visit the Queenstown and other sub-associations to deal with matters affecting their welfare. It was decided that in future the executive should meet monthly instead of fortnightly. The date of the meetings was fixed as the last Thursday in each month.
