ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL
PEDLARS’ FAIR. A pedlars’ fair, organised by Mrs Martin, Mrs Heywood, and Miss I. Hcywood, aided by the St. Paul’s Ladies’ Guild, was held yesterday afternoon and evening. Tableaus were given in the afternoon and evening, and a small play, ‘Snowed Up with a Duchess.’ Miss Doreen Wheeler performed a number of pretty Scotch dances, and Mr Larnont lent great assistance with the pipes, x Helpers in the tableaux were Mrs Begg, Mrs Thomas, Misses Whitehead, E. and V. King, Burnside, Ncvill, D. J. Ncvill, T. Condon, B. Dawson, and P, Jones. Mrs Hocking took charge of the Pot Stepping Stall, and Mrs Hey wood and Mr Bond the Houp-la. Misses Hallett and M, Fenwick had charge of the tea room. The guild members helping were Mrs Heenan, Mrs Haddock, Mrs Batchelor, Mrs Goodley, Mrs Ward, Mrs Osborne, Mrs F. 11. King, Mrs Gibbs, .Mrs Bond. Mrs Jennings, Mrs Hocking. Mrs Briggs, Mrs .Martin, and Misses Townsend,‘divans, and Parata, Thanks are especially due to Mrs Martin and Mrs Hcywood for their energetic. work, and also the guild Indies. The gross takings of the guild in tho bazaar and pedlars’ fair were £354 10s.
