Mrs Rose Grainger, mother of Mr Percy Grainger (the Australian composer), leaped from the eighteen-story building, in the busiest street in Now Tt'ork, and was instantly killed. The police believe that .Mrs Grainger ended her life because she was siillering from a. paintul internal ailment. She had come to visit the office of her son’s tour. The head quarters mamurcress. Mrs Sawyer, stated that Mrs Grainger rested on the couch, and complained of internal pains, She ashed the manageress to go to a chemist’s, but when the latter returned she found the room empty.
