BRISBANE, -May 1, The outbreak of a serious disease at Lowood, which was supposed to be meningitis and which caused the deaths of several children, has now app-eared at Ipswich. Six deaths have occurred in tho hospital and a. number of other deaths are reported. Two children at Gatlovr also succumbed. 'Jim disease is puzzling tho doctors, and so far nothing has been discovered to serve ns a precautionary measure. All the patients died after a half to throe'day s’ illness.
