IRISH LITERARY SOCIETY
Tho monthly meeting of the Irish Literary,' Musical, and Debating Society was held inTho Overseas Club Room on Thursday, the president being in the chair. The main feature of the evening’s entertainment was a reading on the ‘ Origin of the Irish Race,’ by Mr T. H. Thompson. This was listened to with the greatest attention, and Mr Thompson was thanked for his most interesting item. During the evening items were contributed” by the following Misses Bennett, Treston, Finnorly, Green, Goughian, Kilkcary, Atby, and Mr Goughian (songs), and Miss Griffen (recitation). Miss Moya Goughian acted as accompa-niste.
