MANY WATERLOOS.
The French and Belgian authorities have been in discussion as to the name of Waterloo. If there is to ho a general renaming to obliterate the name, of groat memory, the famous London terminus would have to be rochristeued (eays the ‘Daily Chronicle’). In London there are five Waterloo roads as well as a bridge, which was started as the Strand Bridge. Canada has a number of towns as well as a county called Waterloo. In Ontario tho town is about two miles from a place called Berlin. Tho other possessore of a Waterloo are South Australia, Now South Wales, and Victoria, while a suburb of Sydney is Waterloo. America has a dozen Watorloos, three of them capitals of counties. In tho United Kingdom there is a village Waterloo, and that is in Lanarkshire.
