GOOD TEMPLARY

The Hope of Dunedin Lodge of Templars held a meeting on Wednesday evening, Bro. South presiding. Three new members ■were added to the roll, two by readmisuion and one by clearance card. Two members who had been on the sick list received a hearty Good Templar welcome on their reappearance. Then the (J.T. received tho been appointed to the office of District been appointed ot the office of District Chief Templar, and the birthday festivities of Sister Gain were continued. 'Che cake was cut and tea was handed round. A programme of songs followed. Tho singing by Bro. Sincock of 1 Hail, Caledonia ’ was much appreciated. The prizes won at the flower show were handed to Bro. South and Sisters Crawford and Anlian. Sister Gain thanked the members for the festivities arranged in her honor, In connection with which Sister Herbert had done good service. Sister Cross lately from Galashiels, Scotland, received a welcome. Then Bro. Gore, who was C.T. of the Right Step Lodge close on twenty-four years ago, gave a fine address on the work in tho early days. Tho C.T. announced

a meeting of District Lodge Executive to „ 'draw up the programme ami arrangements for the jubilee of the order, and also announced that next gathering would be a Dutch auction in aid of the lodge funds. Tt was also announced that a new lodge had been opened at South land. A vote of sympathy was passed with the members of the Pride of Waknnni Lodge on the death of Bro. Butterick. who had for over a quarter of a century been then. - lodge deputy.
