DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Bank of New Zoalands changed hands on a rising market this morning, sales being effected at 48s Cd and 48s 9d, tho market closing with further buyers at 48s 6d, but without sellers. Union Steams (pref.) were inquired for at 17s lid, but no seller camo forward under 18s fid. For Brown, Ewings (pref.) 18s fid was accepted, and more were wanted at 18s, but no sellers were quoting. New Zealand Drugs had good buyers at 51s fid, but sellers asked 52s fid. Howard Smiths wore in strong demand at 38s, but without attracting a seller, and Sliarlaud and Co.’s were unobtainable at _ 22b. Government debentures remain much tho same, and mining stocks aro quiet. Sales reported:—Bank of New Zealand, 48s fid. Sales on ’Change :—Bank of New Zealand, 48s fid, 48s 9d; Brown, Ewing (pref.), 18s fid.
