PRINCESS THEATRE

The bill at the Princess Theatre, last night was mainly comprised of acts which had already become well and favorably known, tho only newcomers being the Kennedy Brothers, who proved to bo expert .simultaneous and eccentric dancers. One brother is unusually tall, while tho other appears to be 11 rider average height, and, attired as Eton schoolboys, they move rhythmically about the stage for tho whole of their allated span. Tubby Stevens'was perhaps the brightest morsel on the bill. This comical little chap kept the house highly amused with his' burlesque sailor and toreador stunts, his hornpipe dsjco being screamingly funny. There is something about Tubby's work that arouses memories of Little Tieh. James Teddy, a veritable spring-heel Jack, repeated his wonderful exhibition of jumping and highkicking, tho second part (that in which he ignites with his boot soles matches placed 9ft from the ground and, in other queer positions) heing literally a "striking " act. The Honolulu Four were given another flattering reception. Their dreainy strumming and singing and tho dancing of the two dusky maids took the fancyof the audience, who evidently saw nothing inappropriate in the guitar selection 'The End of a-Perfect Day.* Mile. Nadjo exhibited her shapely figure, cracked her jokes (discreetly omitting one or two which she had used' the previous week), and performed her clever upside-down stairclimbing act. Til ton and West, popular as ever, harmonised, joked, and _mado merry generally, all to tiro satisfaction of the 'house. George Dixon,, the musical Jack-in-the-box—or Jack in tho musical box—demonstrated his skill as a performer on all sorts of instruments, from the concertina to the musical bells. Maggie Buckley, having warbled a sentimental ditty of the ' Why Do You Want to Leave Me?' type, broke into ragtime melody with -apwropriato accompanying movements. In both cases her efforts were well received. Gilberto did : * : some stereotyped juggling tricks neatly and well. To-night'the bill will be strengthened bv the appearance of Kasfus arid Banks, who are said to bo an exceedingly entertaining pair.
