The shipbuilding negotiations have definitely broken down, and the conference delegates, who have be-cn sitting at the Ministry for several days, have dispersed, the delegates returning to their homes in the provinces. Hie men's leaders rejected the proposal for a ballot upon the employers' offer to reduce wages 10s weekly now and a further 6s on the 29th, leaving tho remaining 10s in abeyance. The Amalgamated Engineering Union is distributing £200,000 as lockout pay.—A and N.Z. Cable. '
